Been using the Tony Moly Floria Nutra-Energy 100 Hours Cream since I bought it in Seoul 6 months ago – and today it ran out! Pretty sad as I’ve really loved using it but maybe it’s a good thing as … Continue reading
The sun is shining today and I felt like a bright lipstick to match my happy mood – step in Lancôme Rouge A Levres Colour Fever lipstick in 312.
The packaging is super cute with it’s see through magenta lid.
The formula is really moisturising, almost creamy, and the colour is nice and bright.
Not sure when I got this, it was possibly as part of a gift set as the label ‘not for sale’ on the bottom!
This is one of my current faves, more tinted lip balm than lipstick, it goes on easily, has a wonderful fruity fragrance and gives a subtle tint for the lip.
Holika Holika is a Korean brand and this ‘Tintbar’ came in a set of 3 although I’ve only used this colour (which is a pinky red) so far.
According to Holika Holika:
“Tint bar that reacts to moisture of lips to change its color to the most beautiful color.
Remains natural and vivid lip tone for hours.
Texture that holds mint water offers refreshing moisture.
Marine collagen offers resilience to create firm gel lips.
Auto crayon type that creates lip makeup instantly and simply.”
I really love this product and keep it in my handbag at all times!
A couple of years ago, I gave myself a ‘shoe challenge’, I realised I had over 60 pairs of shoes but only wore 2-3 pairs on a regular basis. So I decided to wear a different pair every day and if I couldn’t wear a pair or find an occasion to wear them – then they had to go. Tough but true!
I still have far too many shoes but at least I know I could wear any of them!
So, being a lover of make-up, one of the easiest things to buy is lipstick/lipgloss. I have SO many but I tend to stick to a clear lip salve or have one favourite lip colour which I’ll wear for ages.
So this year, I’ve set myself the Lipstick Challenge: I will wear a different lipstick/lipgloss every day and if I don’t like it or can’t find an occasion to wear it, then it’s gone.
Wish me luck…this may take some time!!
So I’ve recently returned from an amazing two-week trip to Seoul, South Korea. There are so many wonderful things about the culture there but one of my favourite things (which I could bring back with me) were the cosmetics! I’m … Continue reading
So I’ve just signed up to Birchbox who deliver a box of lovely make-up, beauty and lifestyle goodies each month for £12.95.
My first box arrived the other day and I was thrilled with the contents. First off the packaging is fab, my Birchbox arrived in a yellow outer box which, once opened, revealed a cute brown box, and then inside the box (it’s a bit like pass the parcel!) is a drawstring bag which contains the goodies.
This month (September) the samples were:
- Reverence de Bastien Nail Polish
- Bioderma Sensibio H20
- ModelCo. Party Proof Lipstick
- Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Gel
- Molton Brown Ylang-Ylang Nourishing Body Lotion
- Green & Blacks White Chocolate
You also get the BirchBox Magazine full of beauty news and product info.
The idea behind Birchbox is to give you the chance to try out beauty products and see what works for you, you can then go online to their shop and buy the full-size products.
I really liked products that came in this month’s box. Green and Black’s chocolate is always a winner (and lasted all of about 5 secs!); the nail polish is a great autumnal colour; I love Molton Brown products and while the Ylang Ylang scent isn’t one I’d normally go for, it’s still a great body moisturiser; the lipstick was nice, quite a subtle colour – I would have preferred a brighter red; I’d read good reviews of the Bioderma Sensibio H20 before it appeared in the box so I was very pleased to see it and it works really well; and finally, the Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Gel smelt lovely and really does give you a little boost!
